I am a graduate student at Yale in American Studies and African American Studies, with an additional concentration in Public Humanities. My research focuses on African American musical and intellectual history of the late-nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries. As a performing and teaching musician, I'm especially interested in points of intersection between the arts and the humanities.
