Elizabeth Sheckler

I grew up on Cape Cod, in Massachusetts. As an undergraduate, I attended UMaine Farmington, dual-degreeing in Secondary English Education and Creative Writing. I went on to get a Master's at UNH, and then left academia for three years to work in a nonprofit for students with disabilities. I am interested in a wide range of study, including women's issues, cultural geography, crime and the politics of control, animal rights, space and spacial practices, and coastal New England traditions. Though I study mostly British texts, I am also interested in some American authors and works. I live in Manchester with my husband, and our very intelligent tabby cat, Ultra Magnus. I have a wicked sense of humor, make a really good quiche, and love working collaboratively.
