I study and teach European history. In its broader sense: my main interests are the history of the Catholic Church—in particular, its cardinals—and the history of fashion. I guess that it’s because traditions and style both concern the definition of collective and individual identities. When I teach I use a computer, an iPad, smart classes, but they are always means to unconnected ends. I would especially like to discuss and understand the function of design in communication. As a part-time professor I have no time to play, and I consider Slavoj Žižek excessively self-centered—he was so even before striking up a friendship with Lady Gaga
